Goodbye my fashionable friends!

Dear fellow fashionistas,

This will be my last post on this lovely blog. I had a great time shopping online and picking out lots of fun outfits and accessories to inspire you and me but due to lack of time and motivation it is time for this blog to come to an end.

I have moved on from my fashion obsession (o don't get me wrong, Im still a shopaholic haha) and have put all of my time and effort into learning to quilt. Lack of time and internet access (how I hate you comcast!) keeps me from even getting to update my quilting blog, let alone this one.

It has been a fun ride and thanks for following along with me for the past half a year.

MIA... sorry!!

Hi All!

Sorry I have been MIA for a while. I have been so busy and tired with work and my new calling as Ward Missionary, I haven't had much time for blogging. I also started quilting so that is taking up my leftover free time as well. Eventually I will start posting again.. until then, email me if you find some awesome outfits I should blog about! :)

OR... if anyone is just that awesome and wants to... I would love to have a joint blogger to post their fashion ideas and finds too! Let me know!

O back to school... back to school...

Its almost time for school to start and I've got my supply list started... not talking about pens and paper but the great deals to be had on fabulous new Fall items! Cutest purse EVER!

Anyone who knows me knows about my love of the color Eggplant purple as well as my love of purses. That  along with its super stylish and unique flower design is why this new purse from Downeast Basics definitely gets my Cutest Purse EVER rating!! I cannot wait until it is available, I will be checking back every day and ordering it as soon as it is online!

The newest skirt from Downeast Basics fresh online today has me all in a tizzy! I think the classic white pencil-skirt looks fabulous with the unique appliqued patterns on the side... just enough pop of color and pattern to make it interesting and easy to accessorize, while still retaining its classic style!

Super Cute Tankini Sale at Modbe!

Modbe Clothing is having a great sale on their super cute and modest swim separates. They have great styles and patterns that will flatter most figures, without looking frumpy and boring like some other tankini's out there. Here are some of my favorites from their current collection:

Little known Milka Rose...

I have realized that the modest shopping community does not know much about Milka Rose, especially when one woman posted dresses from them which were being sold by another person with a really high mark-up! I think they have some of the cutest modest dresses I have ever seen and thought they definitely deserved a highlight on my blog.

This orange dress in the middle is my absolute favorite, such a classic dress that will never go out of style.

Sweet summer skirts!

One of my personal shopping obsessions are knee-length skirts... probably because it was always hard for me to find them since I am so tall and fashion trends make skirts SO short generally. That is why I am especially loving the new line of summer skirts from Downeast Basics that was released this week. There are so many fun and flirty patterns and colors to fit any style or event! As someone who owns at least 10 of their a-line skirts I can attest to their comfort, quality, and general fabulousness!

Downeast Summer Line Continued

To continue feeding my raving review on the newest Downeast Basics line comes their super cute summer tops. There are so many new styles  AND they have also added new colors of the flowered cardigan! I have this cardigan in hot pink and I am so glad to see it come back, especially in so many new colors. My favorite new top however def. is this polka dot one in the middle, cute to the tenth degree!

Saavy Summer Dresses

The new Downeast Basics line just came out this morning and I am all in a tizzy about their great new styles! First up are my favorite dresses for their summer line. They have the best colors and styles while remaining modest yet fashionable. Unfortunately some of them do not seem to be long enough for us really tall girls but the rest of the population is in for a treat!

After a successful but long first week in corporate America all I want to do is sleep.... and of course shop! Here are some of my favorite new work outfits from Ann Taylor Loft. I love when companies put together their own outfits, great for getting ideas!

A formal affair from Downeast Basics

I am so excited about Downeast coming out with a formal dress line especially because it seems like a few of their styles are long enough for me, and being 5'11 that does not happen often with their dresses!
I think this lovely flowered pink dress as well as the elegant navy dress are simply gorgeous and am trying to decide which one I want for my sisters wedding this fall. They have several other beautiful shades and styles, including the long formal black tie dress and the sassy silver ruffle dress shown below and with so many options you are sure to find the perfect fit for your formal needs!

Apparently the new way to jazz up basic skirts is with appliqued patterns and I LOVE this trend! 

Watermelon love from Boden!

I am totally into Bodenusa this week, as you may have noticed. I think this watermelon top and white appliqued skirt are one of the most perfect outfits I have seen all summer. White just screams SUMMER for me and with these gorgeous appliqued flowers it makes your outfit super unique and classy. Dress it up with your favorite heels and a few minor accessories and you are set!

Summer dress to impress

This colorblock dress at Bodenusa.com is such a perfect summer dress for so many occasions. It can be casual and sleeveless for a beach party or bbq, or dressed up a bit with a cute cropped cardigan for an indoor event or simply to give you more coverage. I love the color combination and as an added bonus... it comes in long for us taller girls! Yay!

Summa'time stripes!

I am absolutely in love with stripes this season especially to doll up a simple pencil or a-line skirt. Throw in some simple flats or heels and a few flashy accessories and you've got me hooked!

Sweet as a Georgia peach

The flower trend lately has really bloomed (haha) and I love the combination of flowered accessories and tops. Pair these great summer styles with a pastel cardigan (peach is my new fave of the season if you hadn't noticed!) and your favorite summer bottom and you will be looking sweet as a Georgia peach and ready for any occasion!

Stripes are in, don't get left out!

A new summer trend that I really like are stripes of all sizes. Whether on a cute cardigan or breezy summer shirt, stripes are a great way to add some pattern and variety to your wardrobe without going overboard on the accessories.
