As fashion experts tell us, plaid is not just for lumberjacks anymore! Although there are  A LOT of super hideous button down plaid shirts that people will NEVER convince me are cute, regardless of what store sells them, there are some super cute and feminine looks you can create with a plaid pattern that should not be passed up due to the masses of bad-plaid out there. Target has some really fantastic tops this season which are perfect for any occasion and any budget! Throw on a skirt or slacks for work, change into jeans/capris/shorts/casual skirt when you get home and you are going to look cute no matter what! Love these tops and Im definitely loving the low prices, yay for Target.

On Target for your budget

I stumbled upon a treasure trove of fashionable clothes today while perusing... you will never guess.... Target.com! They have a lot of patterns, colors, and styles, all of which would be great for the many summer events coming our way as the rain lets up and warm weather sets it. Ive never been much of one for clothes shopping at "all-in-one" stores but they seem to have a great selection of super cute clothes in their summer line which are definitely worth checking out.

*Note however, I am 5'11 and the majority of their dresses do not hit my knee. Great for all of you average sized people out there however!

Saturday at the park

Its Saturday and the last thing I want to put on are jeans or work clothes... give me some comfy linen shorts from Gap (30% off this weekend!), a great long and lean fitted polo from American Eagle and a pair of comfy flipflops and Im off to the park!

Embelish your AE T's!

American Eagle has some great summer T's (left) that would be perfect for embelishing with flowers like the Jcrew T's below (center & right). Drop waist tops

I was at the Limited last week perusing their clearance section and came across some really great drop-waisted shirts with a smock hem towards the bottom. I was a little skeptical but once I tried them on, wow! Such a great fit for those of us wanting a feminine look that isn't going to cling to our leftover winter-pudge. A friend of mine sent this gorgeous dress idea to me and I think its simply fabulous, especially for us tall girls! Its a great length and a beautiful pattern that can be dolled up with heels or dressed down with sandals for any occasion. I also think its completely adorable that the model is not wearing any shoes in this picture :)

The power of accessories

Taking a cue from their great ideas, I decided to accessorize the pink version of this shirt which I think turned out pretty cute as well. Accessories really can make or break an outfit and with this great thin summer shirt, they definitely make it.

Summer Chic in Shorts

Its supposed to get up to 80 degrees here in Delaware today, WHEW that is a hot Spring day! These high temps have me shoving away my favorite jean capris and looking for shorts to keep me from melting. This outfit is #1 on my list for the upcoming days calling for high temps and high fashion!

Best summer tanks

The heat has me thinking about summer which makes me think about BBQ's, Picnics, and trips to the beach. It also makes me think about the sweltering heat and my favorite essentials to get me through the high temps.

Got a case of the Mondays? Not when you wear this shirt to work! How can you be cranky when you look great and have giant white polka dots on you? The Springtime Blues

You know how sometimes its not about matching your shoes to your favorite outfit, but rather its about finding an outfit that compliments those awesome shoes? Well, that is how I feel about this blue scarf from Shade. It comes in 3 different colors and is so darn cute I just want to build a whole set of outfits completely around it. This flowery and colorful dress is, in my opinion, the perfect Spring dress for any occasion, espec. as the graduation and wedding seasons approach. The colorful pattern needs few accessories and looks great with a pair of colored pumps and a classy handbag.
